Jordy van Egmond aka DYRO is a house artist and DJ from Netherlands. He started producing in his bedroom with FL Studio 8 and KRK Rokit 6 monitors. He got signed to Dutch DJ Hardwell's Revealed Recordings and then there was no looking back for him. His track Daftastic was released on Revealed in 2011. Here is the track:

Dyro is known for the dark deep bass house music. He uses Sytrus for his low end and mentions that almost all of his track would have the low end coming from this synth. Also, he uses Serum for sound design and Edison for audio editing. He looks up to Skrillex and called him his 'producer hero' in an interview with DBMusic (UK). Skrillex is known for using FM Synthesis to create all the iconic sounds which revolutionized the very face of dance music. Dyro uses Native Instrument's FM8 for FM Synthesis.

Dyro's music is often full of notorious deep sounding bass lines. As an electronic music artist, his music is melodious and often consists of hooks. The rise and drops in his music play a big part in keeping his track interesting. There are also a lot of mid range growls and synth parts that keep the floor of the track groovy.

In the above track, there is a riser around the 1:50 mark and there is a siren like sound which is created using FM Synthesis. The sine wave (carrier), which is a pure tone, is pitch modulated using a saw tooth waveform (modulator 1). The high pitch to low pitch movement is caused by the sawtooth modulating the pitch of the pure tone (sine wave). Now this pattern in turn seems to fasten up as the frequency of the sawtooth (modulator 1) is in turn being modulated by a linear or an exponentially rising waveform (modulator 2).

Dyro has been for almost over a decade now and he sure is a passionate artist doing well in the industry. He was crowned #27 in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll 2014 and he repeated the same in 2015. Ever since he has collaborated with the top DJs around the world and I'll leave you with a few tracks that'll keep the party going for you.
